Farmers were distributed with 10 kilograms of maize seeds each which they planted and have now started growing. Maize is an expensive crop to grow and achieving good yields is important. It requires field selection, seed preparation, variety selection, weed control, nutrition and dealing with pests. Women engaged in farming are expecting better yields for consumption and for income generation.
